Block 0: Basic Marksmanship

Block 0: Basic Marksmanship is the essential foundation for learning defensive shooting skills. This block emphasizes the importance of “brilliance in the basics,” as competent shooters must first master the fundamental marksmanship techniques.

In Block 0, you will learn the proper stance, grip, sight alignment, and trigger control necessary to become a proficient shooter. By mastering these basics, you will be well-prepared for the more advanced weapon skills introduced in subsequent training sessions.

At EDT Group, we understand the importance of continual training for developing and maintaining shooting skills. That’s why we’ve driven down the price of Block 0, to ensure that shooters of all skill levels can benefit from this foundational training.

Many shooters are new to defensive shooting, and we believe that everyone can benefit from mastering the basics. Those who demonstrate proficiency in basic marksmanship will have the opportunity to move on to Block 2 and further advance their skills.

Pistol Block 0 Packing List:

Every participant of Block 1 is required to have ALL OF the items from the following list. If you don’t have them when you show up you won’t be allowed to participate.

  • 100 rounds of pistol ammunition

Rifle Block 0 Packing List:

Only use this packing list if you are planning on shooting an AK or AR style weapons platform.

  • Serviceable Weapon with an attached 2 point sling
  • 2-3 Magazines
  • Chest or Belt holster capable of holding at least 1 Magazine

  • Pants with Belt Loops
  • 100 rounds of ammunition for your firearm
