These sessions isolate and refine essential skills\, ensuring mastery through repetition and precision. \nFor those new to firearms or unfamiliar with core modern shooting fundamentals\, EDTgrp is proud to introduce the Fundamentals Course—a comprehensive program designed to instill competence\, confidence\, and practical proficiency in defensive firearms use. \nThe Fundamentals Course is specifically crafted for individuals serious about developing their firearms safety\, handling skills\, and equipment proficiency. Whether you’re completely new to shooting or looking to lay a strong foundation\, this course provides a structured pathway to success. We’ll guide you step-by-step\, including a detailed breakdown of essential gear\, where to find it\, and how to use it effectively in real-world applications. \nCourse Structure\nThe Fundamentals Course is divided into two modules: \n\nModule 1: Handgun Foundational Skills\nTime: 7:30 am – 11:30 am\nIn this module\, you will learn the foundational skills required for safe handling and proficiency with your handgun in a classroom environment and then proceed to the range for live-fire practical application. The live-fire application will take you through a series of drills designed to build effective marksmanship skills and safe handling habits through repetition in a controlled environment with the assistance of the EDTgrp instructor staff. \n\nKey Focus Areas:\n\nFirearms Safety\nNomenclature and Function\nMarksmanship Fundamentals (grip\, stance\, draw\, trigger press\, sight alignment/picture)\nWeapons Manipulation (load\, reload\, immediate/remedial actions)\nUpon completion\, you will have gained a foundational understanding of handgun marksmanship\, weapons manipulation\, firearms safety\, and the tools to continue building proficiency through practice and training.\n\n\n\n\nModule 2: Rifle or Shotgun Foundational Skills\nTime: 12:30 pm – 4:30 pm\nIn this module\, you will expand your skill set to include foundational training with your AR/AK platform rifle or shotgun. DESCRIPTION:Evergreen Defensive Tactics Group was created with the purpose of training individuals within our valley to competently employ weapons systems in self-defense. There is more to shooting than hitting the target. Static Skills\, Practical Skills\, and Stress Testing your capabilities all play a roll in being a proficient shooter. Ditch the bench and come train with us. \nEach Training Session is broken up into three Components: SSE\, PSE\, and AUS. Each of these components focuses on skills that are necessary for all experience levels to stay proficient at. Respectively\, these components work shooters on marksmanship fundamentals\, movement and tactics\, and stress testing all skills with physical and mental strain. \nBe sure to check out the required gear for each event (HERE).
