DESCRIPTION:
Wenatchee Valley’s own Chief Fitness and Evergreen Defensive Tactics Group are partnering up for the second year to bring our Women’s Self-Defense course once again! This two day course will introduce students to a variety of knowledge and skills.
- Day 1: Unarmed Combatives: 7/13/2024 @ 10:00AM – 3:00PM | Location: CrosSport Performance
- Unarmed Combatives will deep dive into situational awareness, developing observational skills and mental tools to be aware of the world around you. After the mental workout we will explore some basic martial arts techniques designed to help you break free and get away or create space. This day is ran by Heath Frazier from Chief Fitness.
- Day 2: Handgun Self-Defense: 7/14/2024 @ 10:00AM – 3:00PM | Location: Wenatchee Rifle and Revolver Club – Turning Target Range
- Handgun Self-Defense will review the situational awareness and mental tools from Unarmed Combatives but will quickly dive into an introduction to handguns. Shooting is a skill that is easy to understand but difficult to master, our aim is to provide you with a solid foundation that you can build your skills from. This day is ran by David Belmont and Casey Karins from Evergreen Defensive Tactics Group.
REQUIRED GEAR LIST
- DAY 1: UNARMED COMBATIVES:
- Athletic clothing
- Clean Shoes/No Shoes (we will be on mats, all students must be barefoot or wearing a clean pair of shoes)
- Snacks/Water Bottle
- DAY 2: HANDGUN SELF-DEFENSE:
- All equipment on this list is mandatory, failure to show up with the gear will not result in a refund.
- Handgun (Semi Automatic Only, No Revolvers)*
- At least 2 extra magazines
- A hard sided holster (no nylon, leather, etc.)**
- Belt
- Pants with belt loops
- Baseball Cap
- Close Toed Shoes
- Shirt with a high collar
- 100 rounds of ammunition for your pistol
- Hearing Protection
- Safety Glasses
- Snacks/Water Bottle/Sunscreen

- Can I take just Unarmed Combatives part? Yes, choose “Unarmed Combatives Only” ticket at checkout.
- Can I take just Handgun Self-Defense part? Yes, choose “Handgun Self-Defense Only” ticket at checkout.
- Can my daughter come just to watch? No, Students only, your daughter may take part in the class if they are/will be 18 years of age on the date of the class
- *I don’t own a firearm? There are a limited number of firearms and gear available for students to borrow. An ammo fee of $52.00 USD will be charged on Day 2 of the class. Email info@edtgrp.com for more details.
- **Where can I get a hard sided holster? There are many online options, Tier1 Concealed, Trex Arms, etc… Locally your best option is Ryan Morrison with Saek Holsters. Be sure to tell him you are taking an EDTgrp course for a discount.
